OCTO BOTS
OCTO BOTS are assistants that can be configured to automate various tasks and processes within OCTO MESH.
OCTO BOTS can perform recurring tasks (chron jobs), such as
- Data preparation
- Data cleaning
- Anonymization or pseudonymization of personal data
- Data aggregation
- Mass notifications/newsletter
- Batch import from xml, csv, json
- Creation of archives
- Firing web hooks
- Deleting users
- Creation of various diagrams
- Deleting temporary files
- Recurring automatic reports
- Database maintenance
... and much more
However, OCTO BOTS can also be used for automation and workflow design. For example, to send event-driven messages (e-mail, SMS) or to directly access programming interfaces (e.g. REST) of other applications using so-called "service hooks".
Processes can then be initiated there and other functions can be triggered, such as generating an alarm in a control system or automatically triggering an order process.
